Aug 15, 2015 /prREACH/ -- Emergency preparedness continues to go mainstream. Next month, two public fairs in Knoxville, Tenn., will focus on preparing attendees and their families for crisis situations – including manmade problems, extreme weather issues or an economic collapse – according to a recent article in the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Nashville, Tenn.-based 4Patriots LLC, which provides a variety of products that help people become more self-reliant and independent, commends the organizers of these fairs and those who invest their time by attending. Because anyone could suddenly find himself in a crisis that would involve being unable to access food, water and power, being prepared is the only solution.

On Sept. 11, the Community Action Committee’s Office on Aging disaster preparedness fair will be held, featuring individual sessions focusing on senior citizens and children. The annual Family Safety and Preparedness Fair, sponsored by Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster and other emergency agencies, will be held Sept. 26.

4Patriots Partner Allen Baler says that the best way for Americans to prepare for an emergency situation is by stockpiling non-perishable food, water and other essential items.

“Emergency situations continue to occur all over the country, but too many people don’t think it will happen to them,” said 4Patriots Partner Allen Baler, whose company launched in 2008 as Reboot Marketing and was named to the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in America in 2013. “But as seen with Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, when it does, only those who are prepared are going to be able to avoid heading to FEMA centers."

“Despite the many weather disasters, clean water shortages and cyber attacks on our electrical grid recently, many Americans are still not prepared to handle a situation in which food and water are not readily available. Another advantage to being prepared is that it leads to peace of mind.”
