Apr 30, 2014 /prREACH/ -- The 3rd week of April marked a huge accomplishment for Benchmark Mortgage loan officers. The company's creative team, Nick Carpenter and Garrett Finkelstein, led a successful mortgage mastermind in Dallas, TX and invited loan officers from all over the country to participate. Nick Ellis of the Louisville, KY branch says, "The entire Louisville, KY Benchmark Mortgage Team flew in for their first experience and I was really happy to be able to finally share what Benchmark is all about." The purpose of this marketing mastermind was to collaborate over strategies to enable their Realtor partners to secure more listings and how to better implement social networks and video marketing to generate more business.

This conference was purposely designed to be held during Benchmark’s "Get Your Boots On in Dallas Week" which culminated on April 18th with a charity event that honors wounded military veterans called Boot’n & Shoot’n. "I love helping mortgage professionals grow their business through modern marketing tactics. It's also an honor to give back to military veterans. I can really relate as a vet myself." says Carpenter. $400,000 was raised for The Boot Campaign during this 3rd annual event and the attendance of over 80 military veterans was both recognized and celebrated. Another employee, Di Anne Warlick of the Austin, TX branch expresses her feelings of the mastermind and charity event as being "so excited to be a part of a fantastic company that wants us to succeed in our business by continuing to provide us with awesome training seminars. I am also very proud to be associated with a company that has chosen a charity that gives back to our veterans!”

This is the third year Benchmark Mortgage has been involved with the Boot'n & Shoot'n event at the Dallas Gun Club. The Boot Campaign provides an easy and tangible way for Americans to be pro-active about expressing their patriotism and gratitude for veterans and all who serve by getting "their BOOTS ON". As a national non-profit organization, it is committed to providing assistance to veterans and current military personnel and their families along with promoting patriotism and cultivating awareness.

The charity event affected Benchmark employees in more ways than just honing their marketing skills. Erin Colton from the Woodland Park, CO branch says, "Not many people can say that they were part of an effort that gives homes away to the families who need it most, and fought for us to be free." Operation Home Giveaway is an initiative between Boot Campaign and Benchmark Mortgage to "Turn Heroes into Homeowners". This was achieved at the event where one special, double amputee veteran was honored as the 2014 Recipient. Yajaira Burner of the Woodstock, VA branch couldn't have been prouder to be part of Benchmark that "supports returning American military troops by giving away homes to wounded soldiers."

Benchmark played a huge role in the charity event while also being able to do business at the same time. Marketing mastermind host Finkelstein says, "Being able to use my video skills to empower loan officers is great. Participating in Boot'n & Shoot'n to help get the Operation Home Giveaway message to more people is even better."
