Feb 03, 2016 /prREACH/ -- Encinitas, CA, Jan 27, 2016: Two-time Inc. 500-listed entrepreneur Amish Shah has launched the Ancient Health Care Project, an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that aims to trigger a "global healing revolution" by spreading the ancient science of Ayurveda to at least 20 million people in 2016.

"From the food industry to Big Pharma to corporate working culture, many of the pillars of modern life are poisoning people with hazardous toxins, illness and stress," says Amish. "It's clear that something is broken, and the Ancient Health Care Project aims to help restore balance and wellbeing to people's lives through the 6,000-year-old science of Ayurveda."

Ayurveda, which means "life science" in Sanskrit, is a holistic healing system first discovered in ancient Vedic texts, that harnesses food, herbs, spices, and specific detoxification and relaxation protocols to restore the body and mind's natural wellness and vitality.

The Ancient Health Care Project began from Amish's personal experience with using Ayurveda to treat a number of lifestyle-related health conditions, including high cholesterol and a damaged digestive system. His success sparked his idea for a documentary film spanning across India and the United States. After beginning work on the film, Amish then decided to leverage the experts he had met to work on other initiatives, including an Ayurvedic supplement line, a series of e-courses, retreats, and a telemedicine and certification platform.

"The Ancient Health Care Project merges all these initiatives into one holistic campaign," explain Amish. "It's about combining education, training and tools for both people seeking Ayurvedic treatment, and for existing and aspiring Ayurvedic coaches and physicians."

The Ancient Health Care Project has been privately funded since its inception, but is now seeking $150,000 in public support through an IndieGoGo online crowdfunding campaign. Supporters can expect a host of rewards, including film DVDs and supplements, e-course access, telemedicine consultations and spots at their upcoming retreats and certification programs.

"This goes beyond awareness," says Amish. "The Ancient Health Care Project aims to help at least 20 million people experience the actual life-changing benefits of Ayurveda by the end of 2016, by getting them deeply involved, and turning them into advocates for Ayurveda too."

The Ancient Health Care Project IndieGoGo crowdfund campaign runs from now until March 6. To learn more about the campaign and its perk packages for supporters, visit: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-ancient-health-care-project For more information please contact Anuj Shah.
