New York's public transit system is considered a relatively safe option for traveling throughout the city, but accidents do happen every so often, as was the case in a recent crash involving two MTA buses.

Passengers Injured In Accident Involving Two MTA Buses In Bronx, New York

Law enforcement officers and emergency responders were called to an accident involving two MTA buses on the morning of Wednesday, June 14th, in Bronx, NY.

The accident occurred in the Fordham Manor section of the Bronx near the West Kingsbridge Road and Kingsbridge Terrace bus stop at approximately 9:15 a.m. when two MTA buses collided with each other.

Police officers from the NYPD and members of the FDNY rushed to the scene of the accident to assist injured passengers. Representatives from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority were also present at the scene of the accident to investigate the crash and issue an official statement.

At least 18 passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries from the crash and many were taken to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries. Neither of the bus drivers suffered injuries in the accident, according to a representative from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
