With Invisalign treatment, Dr. Bartlett is able to offer adults a discreet, convenient, and virtually pain-free alternative to straightening their teeth with invisible aligners.
Invisalign braces are soft, clear plastic aligners that are custom made using the latest 3D computer technology to fit over the patient’s teeth. When worn, Invisalign aligners are practically invisible, but are completely removable.
“In today’s culture, image is everything,” said Dr. Bartlett. “While it’s still quite socially acceptable for teen patients to have clunky metal braces, adults with high-profile careers and positions just simply don’t want to put a strain on their image, even if they do desire a straighter smile. Invisalign is the perfect solution for our adult patients who still want to feel confident about their appearance even while they’re working to improve it.”
While not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign, the treatment has shown to be effective in treating mild to moderate orthodontic issues such as crowding, gapping, misalignment, overbites, underbites, and crossbites. The clear aligners shift the teeth gradually with much less force than traditional metal braces, which causes less pain and discomfort for the patient.
At the beginning of the treatment, Dr. Bartlett uses CAD CAM technology to design a series of aligners that the patient will wear throughout their 6-18 months of treatments. A new set of aligners is worn approximately every two weeks, and patients are instructed to wear the aligners the majority of the day, removing them for eating, drinking, and regular cleaning. However, adult patients with Invisalign aligners have the flexibility to remove the aligners for special occasions when needed, such as important meetings, interviews, presentations, photographs, reunions, etc.
In addition to providing clear braces, Dr. Bartlett offers a variety of other dental services to help his patients get their best smiles.
