Jan 30, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Dr. Richard Rosen, cosmetic dentist in Wauwatosa, WI recently introduced single visit same-day crowns with free consultation for patients in need of affordable and efficient dental crowns. CEREC (Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramics) technology has revolutionized dentistry by eliminating the many obstacles that patients used to face when getting crowns, onlays, inlays or veneers replaced. With CEREC technology, Dr. Rosen can now provide patients with a more efficient, streamlined procedure.

CEREC is the preferred system to restore teeth because it is completed in a single visit, which subsequently requires no temporary restorations, less injections, fewer visits, lower cost, minimal invasiveness, and more.

“At Dental Arts Associates, we pride ourselves in providing the care every patient needs to keep their smiles healthy,” said Dr. Richard Rosen, cosmetic and dental implants dentist in Wauwatosa, WI. “One of our top priorities is always incorporating the latest technology into our standard care, and CEREC has allowed us to drastically improve the comfort and quality of patients’ restorative procedures.”

This cutting-edge system is divided into three phases, all completed within one visit. The first phase requires the area where the crown will be placed to be photographed by a high-quality 3D camera. These images are then put into a medical grade computer. The second phase uses CAD software, which allows Dr. Rosen to examine the tooth at every angle on the computer screen, rather than holding the tooth in hand. The last part of the process is generating and placing the crown. The CEREC machine uses the set computer images to make the crown out of a small ceramic block that best matches the color of surrounding teeth. Within minutes after the block is placed in the milling device, the crown that the dentist designed is cured and placed.
