Dec 21, 2013 /prREACH/ -- San Diego, CA. December 17, 2013. For the 10th year, It’s All About the Kids™ Foundation will collect and distribute over 1500 toys to children in San Diego and Baja Mexico. The last Toy Drive party of the year will be held at the Tilted Kilt Downtown on December 23, 2013 for the Monday Night Football game and Shawne Merriman will be the special guest.
Starting at 6pm, guests are asked to bring a new unwrapped non-violent toy or donate $15 and they will receive Happy Hour prices until 9pm. There will also be a silent auction and raffle with great prizes from Tilted Kilt, Sushi Deli, Miller’s Field, RA Sushi, ELiveLife, Side Bar, FLUXX Nightclub, Charity Fundraising Packages, La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic and many others. Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman had an amazing career in the NFL, playing with both the San Diego Chargers and the Buffalo Bills. Shawne is a three-time Pro Bowler and All Pro and was named the 2005 AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He is currently an analyst on NFL Network AM. Shawne has taken a special interest in contributing to the Salvation Army, Standing Up For Kids and Feeding America and established the "Lights On Foundation" in an effort to help children and families in need. He is the CEO of Lights Out Brand apparel and toys which was launched in 2013.

Partner charities include Christie’s Place, Euinme, Crime Victims Fund, Trevor’s Toy Box, Toussaint Academy San Diego, Sierra Mesa Food Bank, and Storefront and Takewing, programs of San Diego Youth Services. In Baja Mexico, the Foundation also supports Rancho El Milagro Children’s Home, Hogar Buena Vida Orphanage and Casa de Paz Orphanage. The Foundation also hosted the Holiday Party for Kids on December 14, 2013, for over 300 children and their families from Christie’s Place and the Toussaint Academy.
