Apr 08, 2015 /prREACH/ -- There was a time, long ago, when China was known as "The Land of the Divine". Chinese art and culture were considered so exquisite and so vibrant that it was believed they could only have been bestowed by the heavens. However, during the Communist rule that has prevailed for the past 60 years, this glorious and remarkable heritage has been destroyed. Shen Yun Performing Arts was created with the aim of reviving the authentic and rich Chinese culture and sharing its captivating beauty with the world. The show is a celebration of traditional Chinese culture as it was meant to be—a study in grace, wisdom, and virtues distilled from five millennia of civilization.

Shen Yun will be coming to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, TPAC, in Nashville on May 1 to May 2, 2015. Those who wish to witness the revival of original Chinese culture and have a unique cultural experience are invited to mark their calendars. This is a highly anticipated Nashville event that will surely take viewers to a different and exciting cultural world.

In a program of some 20 masterful dances and songs, the show will move quickly from one story, region, and dynasty to the next. It is a glimpse into a long-lost world that exists nowhere else—a world of grace, wisdom, and virtues distilled from millennia of civilization and reverence for the divine.

Shen Yun will take the audience on a special journey to the lost land of the ancient Middle Kingdom. The stage will be filled with high energy folk and ethnic dances and vibrant colors. The choreography, music, and animated backdrops are design to transport audience members on a journey through time and space to mountain peaks and heavenly paradises. The orchestra combines both Western and Chinese instruments, and accompanies the dancers with original scores. This event will give Nashville residents the chance to discover and explore one of the most athletic and rigorous, yet ultimately beautiful and interesting, art forms in the world.

Watching a Shen Yun performance, it’s easy to understand why China was once known as Land of the Divine. 5,000 years of civilization will soon be live on stage at Tennessee Performing Arts Center, TPAC. Shen Yun is currently in the middle of its world tour.
