Jun 25, 2014 /prREACH/ -- HotSpring Spas of Minnesota and Iowa, selling new and used hot tubs, portable spas, swim spas and saunas shows support for National Men’s Health Month by sharing three healthy ways for men to get fit.

“In a world of instant gratification where we want to make changes, and we want to see results now, healthy is not always the choice men make when trying to get fit,” said Dan Eppard general manager of Hot Tubs Plymouth and Hot Spring Spas of Minnesota.

“Eating healthy foods, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep will have the best long term effects on our health and well-being. There are things we can do to make life healthier and get fit along with the standard triad of healthy food, exercise, and sleep,” continued Eppard. Here are 3 healthy ways to get fit.

Add Vitamins – It doesn’t necessarily take a medicine cabinet full of various vitamins to add value to daily nutrition. A simple, well-rounded men’s daily vitamin will help fill in the missing gaps that food doesn’t always provide.

Just Add Water – National nutritional guidelines suggest a minimum of 8 cups of water per day. Most Americans don’t come close to that, and 8 cups is the very least they should be drinking. Ditch the extra cups of coffee, juices, and especially high sugar soft drinks and simply fill up on plain water. Nothing is healthier.

The human body is  made up of 80% water. It is in every muscle and organ from brain to bicep, and is an important element right down the cellular level. People can’t exist without it. Many times, the cravings people feel for food, are actually their bodies needing more water, and therefore they are never satisfied. Other forms of liquid don’t do the trick the way water does either. Drink up, and it isn’t necessary to limit it to the 8 cups either. When it comes to water, just say “fill’er up.”

Make it Hot – Hot water baths are a time-honored way of getting rid of aches and pains as well as a good way to relax. However, a tub is a tricky way to soak. The water temperatures are hard to regulate, and a small tub is rarely a very comfortable sitting arrangement for long. A hot tub, on the other hand, is the perfect solution and a great way to soak away daily stress that leads to many health issues men face today.

The temperature is thermostat regulated, the tub itself is roomy and the seats comfortable. Men can get extra value and fun from their hot tubs by incorporating optional televisions, stereos, lighting, and even water features like a water fall for additional soothing.
