Jan 21, 2014 /prREACH/ -- Mag-Trol Orange has donated many hours and large sums of money to helping the community in Orange County through various charitable organizations. Recently, Mag-Trol Orange was pleased to sponsor a snowflake light on Huntington Beach Pier as part of the "Light a Light of Love", a parade and lighting ceremony created by Community Service Programs and designed to draw attention to the needs of youth shelters in the Huntington Beach area.
Mag-Trol Orange's secretary/treasurer Barbara Steensland sits on the board of CSP in Orange County. Community Service Programs works to fight problems associated with youth runaways and displaced teens in Orange County. One Laguna Beach shelter is designed to support teens who have attempted self-harm; one in Huntington Beach takes in runaways.
The "Light a Light of Love" includes a parade through Huntington Beach on the way to the pier, as well as sponsored snowflake lights to light up the night. Individuals and businesses can sponsor a snowflake, and proceeds go to support teen shelters. Children are also able to have their pictures made with Santa Claus, who arrives with Mrs. Claus on the Huntington Beach fire engine, as part of the event.
