Aug 03, 2015 /prREACH/ -- LEWISVILLE, TX—July 29, 2015—Former National Football League (NFL) Pro-Bowler, Andre Gurode has opened the registration for the 2016 season leadership camp in Dallas for his acclaimed “High Performance and Leadership Camp”. The program, a combination of athletic and leadership training, aims to improve campers’ physical agility and ability on the field as well as their leadership capabilities.
Unlike other football camps offered in the area, Gurode’s is run by an impressive list of successful NFL players, including Willie Pile, Byron Williams, “Rocket” Ismail and Swann Graydon. These top athletes have unique strategies, techniques and styles and geared to elevate each camper’s aptitude both on and off the field.
“There is a quote that is important to be and is somewhat of a mantra that I live by and I teach the campers. It says, ‘One heart, one mind, one body, one spirit, one soul. With all this, I can do anything,'” said Gurode.
There are six pillars that govern Gurode’s philosophies on leadership including temperament, integrity, passion, innovation courage and trust. Through lessons executed through football drills and other activities, these ideas are taught to grow the confidence and positive character in each camper.
The camp is offered to boys and girls from 3rd through 12th grades and costs $150 for a three-day session. While the camp is taught by NFL players, it is not just for football players but for those who are sports-minded. The camp is at the Allen Event Center located at 200 E. Stacy Road in Allen, TX. Sessions run from 9am-12pm for grades 3-8 and from 2-5pm for the high school leadership camp.

About Andre Gurode: Andre Gurode is an American football center and guard in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Colorado, earning “All-American” recognition. The Dallas Cowboys selected him in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft, where his career lasted from 2002-2010. In 2011, Gurode played for the Baltimore Ravens. In 2012, he played for the Chicago Bears, and in 2013, he played for the Oakland Raiders. Gurode went to five straight Pro Bowls between 2006 and 2010.
